Got "LIFE"

Hello everyone...Its been a couple of weeks since my last entry, but alot has happen since then - the gain of "You're The Queen Award", a Day at Ocean Grove, Church Recital and the loss of a very close family friend...its so unpredictable this thing that we call "LIFE" ...how one moment you might have everything in the palm of your hand and then in a brief second you lose grip of the things you hold dear & important in your Life can be gone...never lose sight of the big picture - remember that you only have one time to practice for this role that we call Life...there are no replays, no u-turns, no do overs - so live every moment like its your last....just ENJOY your Life, try not to look back always look foward you never know how many rainbows that might lie ahead of you that you don't want to miss....

"Here's to all of your todays, may they be sweet memories of your yesterdays & may they make you want to look forward to more tomorrows" In memory of Cathy Rapp...signed QBeeC

Life is a Box of Crayola Crayons & more!

"2009" a year that's brought me a Crayola Box of color that has brighten my life in many ways....this year began like any other year that has come and gone...but it had an added twist.....

At the end of last year, I venture over to Artsy Mama's blOZ and low & behold, I saw that she was hosting a "Year of Color" that would begin in January & you guess it end in December....after I read Kari's description of all the things that were going to go on in it - I said "go for it"....so I purchased my enrollment and couldn't wait to see what I was in store for...
I am soooo glad that I made that purchased....since January - Kari has brought many new things into my life - from learning new techniques, looking at things in a different way, to trying out things out of the ordinary for me, joining many swaps through it and the best part of it - is meeting all the lovely ladies that I've had the honor to swap with....their creativity just blows my mind away....the e-chatting with them late at night and going to their blOZ and seeing the way they see life - their journey....it truly amazes me that here I sit typing away to all of you out there in blOZ and you might be a 1000 miles away & see what my life is like here at the Jersey Shore... Kari showed me to step out of the box and become my OWN individual crayon...

But it doesn't end there - I said what the heck let me join another group and sure enough I joined the winter Bella group...where I met though commenting on Teresa McFayden's Group the lovely Lady Bug herself Ms. Geralyn...I can thank Geralyn for giving me that added push that I needed to start up my engines & get my blog rolling....now through this world of blogging I have met some wonderful women from Jersey to California to Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Maine, New York, the list goes on...and I know that I will meet a lot more....

Every time I click the enter button on the computer I venture to someone else blog, which might lead me into another lovely ladies' blog and so on...so what I'm leading up to is I've gone for the gold ring on the Carousal and registered for Silver Bella....to think that this Girl from Jersey is traveling the road to Bella Land where all the Glitz, Glitter and Gals are going to be - creating treasures and memories of a time they spent in Omaha Nebraska and these memories will include me...
So here's to more roads opening up for me to go and explore - ahhhhhh the possibilities are endless...here's to you opening up your box of crayons and discovering all the rainbows & pot of gold by just beginning with one crayon......
May your life be filled with many rainbows!

"Mums" The Word...

Happy Mum's Day to one & all!
Always remember your mum (I love the way mum sounds) - whether she is here on earth or in heaven above, your adopted mom, step mom, grandmom, aunt & Auntie, she will always be in your heart & a part of your life.....even though my mom, Auntie (guardian & BFF) & grandma are in earth above, I know that they have never left me - cause I carry a piece of them in my heart always & forever......so in honor of them today, I plant a "White Bleeding Heart" & I purchased Daisies to grace my table because of their love of daisies & their love for me...

Have a honey of a day!

Marie Has Left the House....Rain Rain Go Away &....Anthropologie Here I Come...

Marie Antoinette has left my house to go and stay with a lovely lady by the name of Rhonda...most of you know her as Rhondamum...I was partnered with Rhonda for the Junkk Drawer "Marie Antoinette Collage Canvas Swap" we are fellow swap"ette" partners....when I first found out that Rhonda was my partner - I venture over to her blOZ land...and low & behold what do I see but an artist who is a creator of Marie Anotoinette treasures anddddd she was in a magazine to boot...the sweat began to form on my forehead, & I started to bite my nails and say "oh my oh my what will I do...what will she think of the work that I do" I paced back & forth and finally said "Girl just leave a message for her and you will be find" so I did...and what have I found, but a beautiful woman who is not only a creator of wonderful art but a protective & loving mom, wife & friend to many...so I knew in my heart that my piece will be just fine, and that I just made a friend on line, who is down to earth and kind...I'm telling you this - this place call blOZ is truly amazing....above is the piece that I made for Rhonda, and below is the treasure that Rhonda created for me - Rhonda if you're reading this I just open it - to beautiful....
I was in another swap called "Gypsy Mermaid - Green & Pink Swap"...my swap"ette" partner is the lovely Lisa Aaron ....Lisa is a kind hearted, proud & loving mom & devoted wife, an artistic young woman and a Believer - who not only created the below beautiful Mermaid Treasure Box (with a lot of goodies inside) but she is an awesome jewelery maker - I know, because I am wearing a pair of earrings that she made...you must go and visit her at her blog LittleLovables.blogspot.com

Lisa was kind enough to take pictures of the items that I sent to her I had forgotten to take pictures of the items before I sent them on there way to her home...I had sooo much fun making these little gals for lisa...I made the box with the little girl holding the flowers, which shows you how great minds think a like Lisa's little mermaid that she made for me is the same little vintage gal that I used - too cool and neither knew the other was going to use her....my other little gal that I made is a little tiny mermaid that I put on a little wooden book & named the novel "The Fins & Tails of a Tiny Mermaid"...I added a little bottle in the book with a tiny message for Lisa...
Oh I can't tell you how much I love to create...but I have to admit that I procrastinate, which makes my creations late...I apologize for my tardiness to all of my swap"ette" partners....

As I finish typing my entry, I look up to see but the moon watching over me....on Saturday the moon will be full, which is called the flower moon....ohhhh - if only the rain would stop long enough for us to enjoy the flowers that would be great...I think they call for rain up till Mother's Day......

I end my entry by saying that I will be working again (part time) in Anthropologie - yippee yahoo....there is always a creativity explosion in this store - so I leave you with a few pictures of the store front...and if I didn't say before I am saying it now & loud "I love bees & honeycombs & bee-skeps" look at what the store's decoration is - way to cool...and not only is the store decorated with honeycombs, they are honoring bees with many items, so if you have an Anthropologie store by you - go & see all the things on bees...so don't be to bizzy to take a buzz on by - go see..

Like I always say....have a honey of a night - sweet dreams & may sweet things come your way!

After All Those April (& May) Showers........ Will There Bee May Flowers

Ahhh, the memories that this picture brings back to me aka "QBeeC" are full of merriment....I can remember way back when I was in grammer school the First Day of May was full of excitement...not only were us students thinking of summer soon to come...but of the celebration we were going to have in the school's play ground...I can only remember maybe once or twice this happening through those years. We celebrated by dancing around our May Pole (which actually was our flag pole). The pole had ribbons hanging down from it for children to hold on to while they dance around the pole....oh the excitement, the giggles and the dancing....to think that this tiny tradition might have been lost through the years...I don't think its something that's done in grammer schools anymore.....ahhh a forgotten tradition...

Another memory of this time of year was us school kids decorating little concentrated juice cans with color construction paper that was decorated with tiny little words & pictures and a ribbon or string glue side to side on the top part of the can(this was also a big craft for another holiday soon to come which was Mother's Day) ....then we place a flower or two inside of our Beautiful container - who would be the lucky one to received this token of friendship on their door knob - would it be you or me...... oh I hope its me....

Well I can say that the May Day Basket (can) Treat is still kinda of a tradition celebrated through the land...actually, I am participating in a May Day Basket Swap - hosted by the most gracious Kari from Artsy Mama...I was partnered with a Lovely Lady by the name of Karen, who by the way lives in California - so you could say we are Coast 2 Coast Swap"ettes"....she is a true e-chat friend...we have sooooo much in common.....as we draw near to sending our baskets to each other, I know that we will stay friends by e-chatting to one another - maybe one day we will meet. But until then, we can say - a tradition that was started many, many years ago has brought two women together to become Coast 2 Coast friends...

Here's to all of our traditions, whether they be large or small, may they never be lost with time and may we start new ones too...I leave you off with a basket of flowers and a pup too...to say "Happy May Day" to you! ...may all your days be filled with sweet things too...

Have a honey of a night!
