The Buzz on the "Honey" of a Bee Prize....

This is going to BEE - short & sweet....tomorrow is the beeginning of the month of August...its a month of celebrating for many of my family members, friends & myself - since we were all born on a day in August...my special day happens to be the 17th of August....this will be a month filled of festivities for all....

Here's what all the buzz is about - I would like to celebrate with you my friends in blOZ land too....this entry marks my 37th entry since I started blOZZing & buzzing with everyone out there is "blOZ LaNd"....I will be entering 12 more entries till my Bee-day - which will be my 49th entry and my 49th bee-day...I figured since my blOZ is named "Queen Bee of Creativity aka QBeeC" I would put together, a "HONEY of a bunch " of items related to "a Queen, Bees, & of course things to bee creative with"......I will show the "Bee Prize" on my sixth entry from today's - which will be the half way mark of entries till the 49th Bee-Day...if you would like to enter for this honey of a prize, I kindly ask that you leave me a comment from the day I post a picture of the items till the morning of the 17th...then I will enter your name into my honey jar.....on the evening of the 17th - I will buzz on by and announce the winner....so please join in on the fun with me, while I celebrate this month!

My Tiny Little HoneyComb .....Where I Create In My Hive Sweet Hive

I know that this is a day and a half late & I apologize for my tardiness ..but if you would like to come a see a little part of where I create - I would be happy to invite you in.....the lovely Karen Valentine of Desert Cottage had a party on Friday, July 24th - invitations were sent out to all in blOZ land to attend so please go and visit Karen's blog to see all of the other areas were we blOZZers create...

My art room is just a tiny little room in my 850 square foot (hive sweet hive) home...but to me it is my creative palace...I sooo enjoy & love being in my creative spot, where I some times can be a bit dis-organized - but that's okay because other than you all out there in blOZ land, its usually just me & the boyz (Toby & Wheezer) that enter this magical place....I always have some sort of project going on...so things are moved around and out of place...so take a look around to see some of the things that surround me & inspire me... and just make me plain ole happy...I especially love it when I sit here at night and just have my twinkling lights on when I create...

A Grand Ole Gal & the 4th of July

The 4th of July - 2009 will be over in almost a hour....but the memories of the day & night will linger on for many many years...I'm dedicating this post to my grandmother "Mrs. Anne Haveron - born on July 4th, 1907"...I lost my grandmother just over a year ago...it seems like yesterday all the gatherings we had to celebrate her birthday(and many other holidays too)....some years all the aunts, uncles, cousins and their spouses and children, and different friends would come to celebrate with us - not only did we celebrate the 4th of july with everyone, but we got together to eat another cake & join in song to celebrate this well loved woman's b-day....she would "thank" everyone & than say that she wasn't sure if she would be around for one more....my grandma was admired by many and she touched many hearts that crossed her path...I know that she is smiling down on us....I know that I can say that I was truly Blessed to have her in my life & to be Loved by her "Our Queen Mother", sorry I feel the tears welling up in my eyes & heaviness on my chest - so I will keep this post short.

In tribute to my grandmother I gathered daisies (her favorite flower)and hydrangeas - I also purchase the most cutest little gal who I name "Mizz 4th of July"... her creator is another gal that I've come to adore and admire through her blog, she is truly one talented & kind lady and her name is Laurie - her blOZ name is http://magpieethel.typepad.com - please do go by and tell Laurie I said "HI" and that I sent you.

Well's that all folks, I hope that you had a great holiday & got to see some fireworks....I leave you off with a saying that my grandmother & I said to each other when I left her after our visits together.

The Many Faces of ME.....

I can tell that I've been home to long or should I say I've been held prisoner in my Hive Sweet Hive much longer than I excepted due to a foot/ankle injury that happen close to two weeks ago....so since Tuesday of this week I've been home - other than going to the doctor's, I have not left my house... which gave me time to go rummaging/organizing/creating/go through photos/I've watched very little of t.v. because all that is on is either about Michael Jackson or tennis, and I think I've watch my quote on both subjects....one of the things that I did do was go through photos of my life from when I was very young till now....and boy have I change, not only in the way I look but in the way I look at life....I've had many hardships, disadvantages, loss of love ones, health problems... "BUT" in return I've had many-many-many good things happen and wonderful people that God has put into my life... I know for sure that with time I will be BLESSED with many-many more good things & good people in my life...

But there is one thing that stay the same in my life and that is my face features & my Quirky Goofy smile.....I don't know what it is & where I get it from but its a "HABIT" of mine that hasn't change with time...... I think that my face has grown on me, even with its laugh lines & wrinkles & freckles I can say - its stand the test of time....

So I raise my glass to all of you out there in blOZ Land & say, here's to the quirky things in your LIFE that make you smile.....

My Little Bro' Tom & a Fund Raiser for Autism

About two weeks ago, my brother Dr. Thomas Haveron - held a fund raiser for Autism, which involved a book signing by Daryl Strawberry...plus there were many more sport celebrities that were there from Bernie William to Roy White to more....it was held in one of my brother's office located in Harrison, NJ which by the way was an old bank...it was a really great turn out...plus I got to spend some time with my nephew Aidan and all of his cousins - and I tell ya' did they have some energy that night....

This was the first time that I've been to my brother's new office - he had another one in Harrison but he moved to this one, plus he has offices in Newark and in Elizabeth and not only is he a chiropractor - he is also the Commissioner of Motion Pictures for the State of New Jersey. My brother has met many sport celebraties to music celebraties, actors and the late Pope John Paul II....on his walls in his office he has many pictures of himself & my sister-in-law with some of the celebraties that he has met plus pictures of him and regular folks like me that he has help....here is just a few...



I am very proud of my brother....you see my brother & I were orphaned at a very young age BUT we were VERY Blessed in having our mom & dad's families to take care of us....he truly has made his mark on life - whether it be me, or organizations that need a helping hand or a friend that is down in his luck....my brother always has an open door & open heart policy....my sister-in-law Annabel & Tom have help sooo many in need...God Bless them both.


Here's to all the people out there that are as giving, caring & loving as my LITTLE brother Tommy.....God Bless Them All....

Treasure of a Town & Treasures That Were Found....

Ocean Grove, is a quaint Victorian Town located at the Jersey Shore...where at one time cars were not aloud to drive on Sunday - but that's not a law anymore...actually you're better off exploring this town by foot...with all of its Victorian architectural delights of homes...that one by one are being preserved is truly beautiful.....its a hidden treasure city within two big cities - Asbury Park and Neptune...you can find a lot in this little city of Ocean Grove from little mom & pop shops, to an old fashion ice cream parlor, to the Great Auditorium, to art galleries, down to earth cooking restaurants, the beautiful beach & lovely boardwalk, and most of all you can find Ocean Grove Big Flea Market & side street Yard Sales - twice a year....the first one is held on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend and second is held the weekend after Labor Day...you can find many many different types of treasures, for furniture to lawn art to knic knac's galore...one can always come back with something if you are willing and able to explore...it's just not the large area in front of the Great Auditorium - but its on all the streets of the town, there are many who have treasures for sale in front of their homes...here are just a few of the things that I was lucky enough to bring back to my little "Hive Sweet Hive".....

Well, here's to all of your treasure hunting places that you explore may you come home with something that you can't do without and you just adore....
